Quick answers to common questions about Paperly.
After scanning or editing your document, tap the Export button in the top-right corner. You can choose to export as a high-quality PDF and share it via email, AirDrop, Files app, or any other sharing method available on your device. You can also save directly to your device's local storage.
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) converts scanned images into searchable and selectable text. Paperly's OCR engine runs entirely on your device — no internet connection required. Simply scan a document, and Paperly will detect and extract text, making your PDFs fully searchable.
All your documents are stored locally on your device in the app's secure storage. Paperly never uploads your documents to any server or cloud service. You can also export documents to the Files app or any cloud storage of your choice — but that's always your decision, never ours.
Tap the Signature tool while editing a PDF. You can draw your signature with your finger or Apple Pencil, then position and resize it anywhere on the document. Your signatures are saved locally for quick reuse. You can also add text annotations, stamps, and notes to your documents.
